what's making my 1985 Chevy Van hard to start and burn too much gas? It takes several tries to keep it running and outside the van is a strong gas smell, also acts like its running out of gas, which by the way it is really sucking the gas through. I changed the carburator and it hasn't helped. It's only getting about 5 or 6 miles per gallon.
