My 1997 chevy van was running fine. I cranked it up and it was making a horrendous noise and running very rough. My mechanic thinks it is the computer, my neighbor (and my first thought) thinks it is the timing. The mechanic has had the car for some time and has been swapping out parts to try to locate the problem. (At no cost to me) Any idea where to start?
