1997 Chevy truck with 5.7 FI...fuel pressure?

1997 Chevy truck with 5.7 Vortek...seems like fuel pump when out, so I changed filter first, then tried the pump with lines unhooked to find that I have good pressure. Checked at intake and still have good flow at intake...but will not start. Checked for spark and all is ok with the spark, which is leading me to fuel. Possible to be the fuel pressure regulator? If so, where is it located?
