I am looking at the HHR new or used. I am questioning mechanical soundness of this car? I have read a lot of quotes about leaking glass, front brake rotors and popping front ends. Any experience with these problems?

Hello, and welcome to JA!!! dont know of any problems with water leaking at the glass. and yes do have noise issues with susp. but normally all are correctable. as far as the brake rotors, have seen a few with some brake pulsations, but here agian normally can be repaired. but no more then any other vehicle.
