I have a 1997 GMC 1/2 ton 4x4, my park lights,signal lights and hazard lights work work except my brake lights do not come on when I apply the brakes, the bulbs and fuses are good what could be the problem?

There are three items that could be the failure. The first could be a faulty relay. If this is the case you will still get a third brake light comming on. The second being the stop lamp switch itself or possibly a turnsignal switch. If you have a voltmeter or a test light I can help you through the testing. If you would like I could also get a wiring schematic.
